Have Everton's best two midfielders been injured in Jean-Phillipe Gbamin and Andre Gomes?Yes, they're the bestNo, not quite the best |
The defensive-minded midfielder has featured in two Premier League games for the Toffees since his summer arrival from Mainz for £25 million (as per Transfermarkt).
Everton’s 24-year-old middleman has been sidelined for the majority of the season after undergoing surgery on a tendon in his right quadriceps muscle (as per Everton), which had fans buzzing that he was edging closer to a return.

What do we think?
When Gbamin signed from the Bundesliga for £25 million over the summer (as per BBC), there would have been few expecting him to make only two Premier League appearances by this point.
However, hopefully, following his surgery and return to training fitness, according to Ancelotti, the worst will be behind him and he can kick start his Everton career.
