Will Lewis Gibson be a big first-team player for the Toffees one day?Yes, looks to have loads of potentialNo, doesn't quite have it unfortunately |
As part of the agreement for his new contract, Gibson will look to move away from Goodison Park for the remainder of the season on a loan deal, with clubs across the Championship, League One and Europe interested (per Liverpool Echo).
While the 19-year-old has not yet made his senior debut for the Toffees, he has featured in 38 games for the Under-23s, in which he has two goals and one assist (per Transfermarkt), which left fans pleased that he was signing on the dotted line.

Good news.
Regarding the loan to a potential team in Europe. Does anyone think we should look at getting a feeder team in a competitive 2nd tier league?— Andreas Wätt (@Wattawildworld) January 28, 2020

What do we think?
Judging from the responses from supporters, Gibson is incredibly well thought of in Merseyside as they are delighted to see that he will be staying with the club.
Hopefully, with a prospective loan move away from Everton for the remainder of the season (per Liverpool Echo), his first foray into senior football will help the youngster kick on massively (per Transfermarkt).
