A club post from Everton has left the club’s supporters gushing over Ellis Simms and demanding he is awarded first-team minutes.
On Tuesday morning, the club posted a video showing the 19-year-old forward bagging a brace against Arsenal for the Under-23s on Monday night (as per Everton), which had fans gushing over the young talent.

One fan even suggested they saw shades of former Everton star Romelu Lukaku in the youngster, which is a huge compliment for young Simms, as the Belgian produced 87 goals in 166 games for the Toffees.
@ChrisPitchy shades of Lukaku at his best! 🙂

Will Ellis Simms have a first-team future with the Toffees?Yes, got bags of talentNo, just won't work out |
This season, the young forward has featured in 15 games for the Under-23s, in which he has bagged an impressive eight goals (as per Transfermarkt).
While some fans were speculating that Simms had a big future ahead of him, others were keen to see the youngster in the first team before too long.
Greenwood is flying for United and Simms can’t get a look in. Madness

What do we think?
As the highlights from the clash with Arsenal show, the young striker has some real technique to his game (as per Everton), however, the jump from academy football to senior level can sometimes be a hefty one.
If Everton fans are right in their thinking, though, the Toffees could have some player on their hands if he realises his potential.
