After Cenk Tosun signed for Crystal Palace on loan earlier in the month, Eagles fans will be hoping there is still some good business yet to be done by Roy Hodgson and his team before the window shuts. Their desires may come to fruition, however, as the side are reportedly joining the race for Yannick Carrasco. The winger is currently playing for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, and has scored 67 goals and registered 58 assists in 279 professional career games.
Any deal for the player would almost certainly be a loan, according to the reports, but fans are excited by the news regardless. Many fans on Twitter shared their excitement over the potential signing. They think he would do bits for the Palace outfit, especially if playing in the same team as Wilfried Zaha.
Yannick Carrasco would be huge, puts pressure on Townsend & Schlupp when fit

I like this Carrasco loan deal. We get wing depth, he gets a 6 month masterclass course learning under Jeff Schlupp. #CPFC

Will Carrasco really want to come to us? I hope this is legit. An absolute beast of a player if he comes. Zaha and him will do bits on the wing. If used of course #cpfc

Do you think Yannick Carrasco will join Palace?
Yes
No
Others have serious doubts about the player joining the side. They think that if he does come, Hodgson would fail to use him correctly.
Scenes when Carrasco comes in and is told to play defensive midfield….. #CPFC

Carrasco to Palace?
Roy would bench him #cpfc— Graham Wick (@RnbEagle) January 23, 2020
What do we think?
With the player earning £180,000 a week in China, it would cost Palace a lot of money, even just to bring him in on loan. But, if he does come, many of the fans above will be excited by the prospect. Only time will tell before we know how legitimate these rumours actually are.
