Crystal Palace extended their winless streak to six against Southampton after goals from Nathan Redmond and Stuart Armstrong were scored by the Saints in the 22nd and 48th minute of the match. The game will be classed as a huge letdown after Roy Hodgson’s side took points off of both Arsenal and Manchester City in their last two league games.
But the result could have been much different if Cenk Tosun took his golden opportunity in the 19th minute of the match. After the Eagles won the ball high up the pitch, the Turkish international was running in on goal with seemingly all the time in the world to shoot. But his shot sailed way over the bar. Fans can watch the highlight on YouTube here. When the club posted an update of the miss on Twitter, the fans couldn’t believe it. Some think it is a sign of him settling into the team. One fan even calls him a one-game wonder.

What do we think?
Had the shot gone in, it could have been a much different day at the office for the Eagles. When Tosun hit the stands the game was still 0-0. We’re sure he will have been regretting it big time after the final whistle.
