Aston Villa fans have been calling on Twitter for Marc Albrighton to rejoin the club this month.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @astonforza shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by the former Villa man originally published by The Mirror on his exit from the club.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans pleading for their club to bring the Englishman back to Villa Park this month.
Would you take Marc Albrighton back at Villa this month?
Yes

Bring him home.

Not saying trez is that bad but looks like he needs a pre season still and I love el ghazi but hes petulant and when hes bad hes really bad.
Jota I can see playing in a more central role going forward.

The 30-year-old made 102 appearances for the Villa first team before making the move to Leicester in 2014 (per TransferMarkt). With both clubs preparing to face each other in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final this week, Albrighton’s recent comments on how tough it was for him to leave Villa have made some Villans call for him to make a return.
I regret his departure every time I see him play; a big mistake on Villa’s part …. wise after the event? ?

Was the only player putting in a decent performance back end of 13/14. Would’ve been happy to stay on current deal. I said it was a mistake at the time letting him go and in hindsight it was.

One of the strangest decisions Villa made, can only assume it was about cutting wages at the time…

What do we think?
With Albrighton, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), only making 11 appearances out of a possible 21 for Leicester in the Premier League so far this season, maybe a move away from the club this month could be on the cards. If Villa do make the move to get Albrighton back, he would surely be a big hit with the fans once again after making so many appearances for the club.
