Aston Villa fans have been calling for Gaston Pereiro to come to Villa Park this month.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by the player from Sport 890 saying his agent is “working on an offer from Aston Villa” while speaking on Soccer Time.

The 24-year-old currently plays for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie. The Uruguayan is currently valued at £9 million according to Transfermarkt.
In 154 appearances for PSV, Pereiro has managed to score 49 goals and pick up 21 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

It is not often when a player openly discusses which clubs are working to sign them during a transfer window.
With Pereiro’s latest revelation claiming that Dean Smith’s side has been in contact in regards to a move for him, it is no wonder that these Villa fans have been getting excited about his potential Villa Park arrival.
According to Transfermarkt, Pereiro has struggled with injuries this season, resulting in the Uruguayan only making eight appearances for PSV so far in all competitions. So if Villa do bring him to the club this month, they will need to make sure he is fit and ready to play for the club.
