Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to new signing Pepe Reina’s recent post.
This comes after the goalkeeper shared a tweet on his official page of a picture of himself in training for Villa’s weekend match against Brighton.
The Spaniard captioned the image saying he is “ready for the battles ahead”.

The former Liverpool man recently signed a deal with the Birmingham club to stay on loan until the end of the season from AC Milan (per Transfermarkt). This deal came in response to Villa’s first-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton being ruled out for the rest of the season with an injury he suffered earlier in the month. Now that Reina has tweeted that he is ready for what lies ahead for him at Villa, some fans have been getting behind their new man in support.

What do we think?
It’s good to see the Villa fans in good spirits despite their club currently being currently placed in the relegation zone. Should Reina start for Villa at the weekend, lots of Villa fans will be hoping he can put in a good shift and help villa get the result they so desperately need.
