Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to behind the scenes footage of Ezri Konsa being told about Tyrone Mings’ contribution to Villa’s winning goal against Watford.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page, originally posted by Sky Sports, that included a video clip from after Villa’s 2-1 victory over Watford on Tuesday.
The clip showed Konsa, the first-thought scorer of Villa’s second goal, being told that the shot he took to score the goal, actually made contact with Mings before entering the Watford goal, thus making it his goal instead of Konsa’s.
Who should be given Villa's second goal?
Ezri Konsa
Tyrone Mings
Konsa then said he was “heartbroken” by this latest revelation.
The post then led to a lot of Villa fans replying with their thoughts on the situation.
Here is a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Give it to Konsa, I don’t think mings would take it away from him

The defender has yet to score a goal for Villa in the Premier League this season (per Transfermarkt). After originally thinking he was the goal-scorer for Villa’s dramatic late winner, his reaction to being told the goal was actually given to Mings gathered a lot of interactions from fans on Twitter after the match.
Great attitude. #UTV

What do we think?
For Konsa to be denied his first goal for Villa when it was such a crucial goal must be disheartening for the defender. But as he said in the clip, the three points is more important. This attitude is exactly the type of thing the Villa fans want to see in their players.
