Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest transfer update surrounding Daniel Sturridge.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @astonforza shared a post on their page relaying information originally shared by Fanatik who cite Russian reports that the club have offered €5 million (£4.2 million) for the Englishman.
Should Villa sign Daniel Sturridge this month?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were not pleased with this latest transfer update.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans not wanting to see Sturridge join the club this month:
Unless he’s used as a super sub, that is guaranteed waste of money. Man gets injured giving an interview ?????

The former Liverpool striker joined the Turkish club in the previous summer transfer window (per Transfermarkt). Since then, Sturridge has managed to score seven goals in 13 appearances for the club but the striker has also dealt with some injury issues this season. Now that news has emerged that Villa have put in a bid to bring Sturridge back to England, some fans have been sharing their scepticism over the potential move.
The FA are looking to throw the book at him.
We need to avoid him.

What do we think?
Having scored 77 goals in 218 Premier League appearances throughout his career, Sturridge certainly has the experience to play well in the top tier of English football. But his lengthy injury history list is unsurprisingly a big worry for the Villa fans who already have Wesley out injured for the rest of the season. If the deal were to happen and Sturridge could stay fit, he has the potential to save Villa from relegation with his goals.
