Joseph Masi has given further insight into the likelihood of Kamil Grosicki joining the Baggies this month.

When Journalist Joseph Masi was discussing transfer news with the West Brom fans, he stated that it’s ‘highly likely‘ Kamil Grosicki will join the Baggies this January.

The Polish international is set to join permanently for a fee believed to be £800k after Slaven Bilic’s side has reportedly had a bid accepted by Hull (Express and Star).

With Bilic ‘weighing up‘ a £4m offer for Nathan Ferguson from Crystal Palace, this is likely to be where some of the transfer budget is coming from to hopefully complete the sign of the 31-year-old winger.

What does Kamil Grosicki bring to West Brom?

In the Championship this season, Grosicki has played 27 matches for Hull, scoring seven times and also assisting on four occasions. Decent stats for a 31-year-old who could easily have given up trying to succeed due to his age, so it’s a very positive sign that the Polish winger is still hungry to achieve in such a competitive league (Transfermarkt).

The 31-year-old is no stranger to pressure, making 71 international appearances for his national side Poland, Grosicki did struggle to score goals at this level getting just 13 goals from all these outings (Transfermarkt).

Nigel Adkins had high praise for the Polish international back in 2018, saying: “He’s committed to the team and he’s working his socks off. We know he’s got undoubted ability and quality.”

Verdict

It would seem likely that Grosicki would have to fight for his position at West Brom, as being 31 years old isn’t ideal. However, we have no doubts that the Polish winger would make an amazing rotation option for the Baggies.
