Charlie Austin made an instant impact when coming on against Birmingham, which has led to these West Brom fans showing their appreciation to the 30-year-old.
Despite coming on for just 24 minutes, Austin managed to score two to give his West Brom side a hard-earned three points. The forward has taken his tally to seven goals this season, despite only playing 16 matches out of 22. Indeed, it is hardly a surprise to see a number of fans delighted with the impact that he has had at The Hawthorns since arriving, with many of them gushing over the hitman on Twitter.
Here’s what these West Brom fans had to say about Charlie Austin’s performances:
“I just wanted to try and make an impact.”

Will Charlie Austin be West Brom's top-scorer at the end of the season?
Yes
No
Austin, who is valued at £4.5 million (Transfermarkt), is now the joint top scorer with Matt Phillips, both of whom are former Queens Park Rangers players, which may help the Baggies as they have a knowledge of the league.
I love this guy in a world where football is ran by money he isn’t afraid to say what he thinks

Straight talker and you can tell the words form in his mind about a second before they come out of his mouth. In an era of carbon copy scripted player-press interactions he is a breath of fresh air.

What Do We Think?
West Brom are scoring for fun right now; in just 22 matches the Baggies have managed to score 45 goals. Austin is in good form right now. But even if he wasn’t, it’s not like West Brom would be short for goals as 14 different players have been able to find the back of the net for Slaven Bilic’s side so far this season. However, with a 30-year-old clinical finisher in fine touch at the moment, Albion will want to see it continue for the remainder of the campaign as his goals will undoubtedly help them to achieve promotion to the Premier League this time around.
