With the first-team dropping points at every turn, Sunderland fans were turning to the youth sides for some hope. If the club can’t win any games at the senior level, perhaps there are some exciting prospects coming through the youth ranks to cheer for? Unfortunately not. The U23 side registered their 11th straight loss this week.
This caused Roker Report to point out the losing culture at all levels of the club. To them, it proves that the losses at the first-team level are a result of a much larger, more systemic, problem. Other supporters agreed. They think the wrong people are in charge.
Club at all age groups are struggling at this moment

Looks like the wrong people are in charge throughout the club at every level. Also if you keep selling 15/16 year olds to prem clubs on the cheap, this is what happens.

Fully agree with this. Also add the u18’s in the equation. Club is rotten to the core at the moment.

Do you think the first-team's losses are part of a much bigger issue?
No
Yes
A few others pointed out that the only team doing well are the women. The ladies are playing great and are really the only positive thing coming out of Sunderland at the moment.
Our first team, under 23’s, under 21’s, under 18’s are all doing extremely poor atm! Only ones head strong are the ladies and that’s because they’re not under control by the same people the lads are. Some extremely sour people controlling the lads side

The lasses are doing great!

The Ladies team are the only ones with a winning momentum

Put the women in the first team might have a chance then

What do we think?
Most teams at Sunderland Football Club appear to be incapable of winning. The winning culture starts at the first-team level, though. Manager Phil Parkinson must demand more from his team in the coming weeks. Perhaps he should take the lads out to watch one of the women’s games. That way they can see what a winning team looks like.
