Sunderland have just two more games to play at the Stadium of Light before they can pull the curtain on a disappointing 2019. Games against Blackpool and Bolton will see the calendar year at the stadium come to a close.
When the club tweeted out ticket details for the Blackpool match, however, fans rioted. They have absolutely no interest in going to watch this team. The constant losses are too much to handle. Fans threaten to boycott home matches until manager Phil Parkinson is sacked.
If he’s sacked I’ll go

Sack Phil and get a bumper crowd for boxing day.

Will you be refraining from attending Sunderland matches until Parkinson is gone?
Yes
No
In fact, some season ticket holders are refusing to go. One fan is even willing to pay for someone to go instead of him. Another is just glad to see the year come to an end.
Actual bums on seats there’ll only be around 20k there on Saturday. A lot of season card holders not even bothering at the minute. If Parkinson is still in charge defeat is inevitable #safc

Anyone who wants my season ticket can have it, for free, I’ll even hoy £20 in for a pie and pint

Cant wait to say goodbye to 2019, worst year on record for Sunderland as a club

What do we think?
It must be said, Parkinson’s time in charge of Sunderland could be over shortly. The team aren’t just failing to meet their objectives, they aren’t even coming close. The longer it goes on, the worse the situation becomes. Fans are right to demand change. Only time will tell before we find out if the club will listen.
