Sunderland fans were left disappointed once again after their team failed to win against Gillingham. Phil Parkinson’s side lost 1-0 (BBC), but perhaps the most disappointing part of the match was what transpired after.
Aiden McGeady and Chris Maguire were both spotted eating fast food at a burger restaurant, as relayed by Roker Report on Twitter. It puts the club’s drop from the Premier League into even more context. Fans were concerned with the duo’s dedication to the team. They believe that they are having a negative impact on other players, with some fans calling for them to leave in January.
And we wonder why they all look over weight

Not worried about food , but Divisions in the camp . Players seem to stick with the same group .sunderland need togetherness on and off the field . Strange people are more worried about food.

Are you more concerned about the diet or division of the players at Sunderland?
Diet

When one fan asked if the picture was taken after the game, another suggested that it was taken at halftime. Their performances were that bad.

What do we think?
With the players clearly not living an elite athlete’s lifestyle, perhaps the blame being thrown at Parkinson is misguided. If the players themselves aren’t willing to do everything they can to make sure they are match ready, then why should they be left off the hook?
