It was yet another convincing win for Steven Gerrard and his Rangers side. The team waltzed past Hearts, scoring five goals against their opponents. Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent added to their recent goal scoring form and Greg Stewart made an incredible cameo appearance to score a brace.
While a 5-0 win looks like a solid performance at face value, Rangers could have had a few more. A sixth goal would have put them level on goal differential with Celtic at the top of the table. Fans were quick to recognise this, showing a little frustration at their team taking their foot off the gas. For the most part, though, it was all done in jest.
Not good enough…we wanted 6! Good job boys onto the next one

Worst team we’ve faced at Inrox this season & if we’d been at it we would have given them 10.

Do you think Rangers were cruising against Hearts?
Yes
No
Others suggested that the side looked to be playing at 50% during the game. Some fans were concerned, suggesting the effort hasn’t been good enough for three matches in a row now.
Shaking those cobwebs off!

Didn’t see the game but the fact you said we played at 50% is worrying. That’s 3 games in a row we haven’t been great and luck runs out

What do we think?
If that was Rangers at 50%, then they should be a force to be reckoned with at 100%. Gerrard will be pushing his team to put in more convincing performances with big matches coming up in December. If they can get out of December without a loss, they will have progressed in the UEFA Europa League, won the Scottish League Cup and would still be competing for the league (WhoScored.com). It’s a huge period for the team. One that will certainly define their season.
