After an impressive UEFA Europa League group stage finish, Steven Gerrard announced a contract extension with the club until 2024 (Rangers). This news will excite fans who appear to be pleased with the progress the Englishman has made so far during his stay at Ibrox. It gives the manager a chance to build a real legacy at the club.
Coincidently, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp signed a contract extension the same day. The manager’s contract will keep him at the club until the exact same date that Gerrard’s new contract will end with Rangers (Liverpool). But perhaps, according to these fans, the contrasting news wasn’t a coincidence at all. They speculate that the extensions were planned to end at the same time. A few fans hope it is nothing more sheet dumb luck.

Brilliant news that Gerrard signed on until 2024. Also see that Klopp also signed on until 2024, maybe its just a happy coincidence. #rangers #Gerrard2024

Would you swap Gerrard for Klopp as Rangers manager?
Yes
No
But while some Rangers fans are concerned to see Gerrard potentially leave for Liverpool after his contract ends in 2024, this fan isn’t worried. He knows of a world-class manager who will be looking for a new club at that time and thinks the Gers can convince him to come to Ibrox.
Swap deal with Klopp in 5 years

What do we think?
While the signs do point towards a Gerrard exit in 2024, it is unlikely that Rangers would see the German manager come the other way. But with the belief the Rangers faithful have, no dream is too big.
