Going into their game against Aberdeen, Rangers needed to secure all three points in order to remain as joint leaders at the top of the table. It was always going to be a tough game, but after being 2-0 up in the 30th minute, the job seemed done. But it was far from over, and Aberdeen brought the game back to 2-2 in the 48th minute (BBC).
Rangers fans were notably upset at the result. There seemed to be hope when Hamilton equalised against Celtic in the 90th minute of their game, however, Scott Brown won the match two minutes later for Neil Lennon’s side (BBC). Rangers dropped to undisputed second place, creating a small gap between the two teams.
The fact that the Gers were up by two goals made the dropping of points that much worse. Fans slammed the team for their lack of composure.
we’ve got to be better than that from 2-0

Not good enough at the back. You can’t throw away 2 goal leads when in complete control.

That’s the most disappointed I’ve been in the team this season. Utterly threw away 2-points to a dreadful team.

Untypical of this season but showing the mental weakness that still needs to be removed. Still tight at the top. Long way to go. Hopefully make up for it Sunday.

Are you less confident in Rangers' title hopes after the Aberdeen match?
Yes
No
Another fan suggested that Rangers wouldn’t be able to win the title if they dropped points like this. One supporter even suggested that the character shown by Celtic is a characteristic of a title-winning team.
Not winning the league with a performance like that! No bottle.

And hate to say it but what celtic did tonight is what wins titles

What do we think?
Rangers will have a large amount of regret from this game. With a match against Celtic coming up on the weekend, fans will demand an instant response from their team. A win against their rivals in a cup final would be the perfect way to make up for this performance.
