Rangers fans were obviously gutted after watching their team drop points against Aberdeen midweek. Especially so, considering they found themselves two goals up 30 minutes into the game. But while the supporters were frustrated at most of the players for dropping the ball, there was one player who impressed them.
Ryan Jack, Rangers’ second goal scorer on the day, spoke to Rangers TV after the match. He spoke with such poise and conviction, unafraid to stand in the firing line despite being part of such a disappointing game. After the interview was posted, supporters praised the way Jack conducted himself, suggesting that he showed qualities of a club captain.
The captain of our club all day long.

This man talks absolute sense. He gets it. Terrible result but a final on sunday.

The sooner Ryan Jack is made captain the better

Who would prefer as Rangers' captain right now?
Ryan Jack
James Tavernier
Others even called out James Tavernier, the current captain, claiming that he hides whenever the team faces adversity. They question why it was Jack, and not him, who was sitting in the hot seat.
How come tav only speaks when we get a goof result?

Doing the Captains job. He’s like he usually is at the back post, Missing. Why this boy doesn’t have the armband is beyond me

What do we think?
Jack is quite clearly mature enough to be a leader on the field. As it stands, however, James Tavernier is still wearing the armband. But with Jack conducting himself so well, Steven Gerrard could be persuaded to make a switch. Only time will tell.
