Nottingham Forrest have announced that they have submitted an application to redevelop the Peter Taylor Stand, leaving fans over the moon with the news.

The Nottingham Forest fans are very happy, but the local community might be even more happier, with Forest stating: “Currently the club sustains more than 850 additional jobs locally with this number expected to grow to more than 1,125 when the new stand is complete. This number will grow further to at least 1,450 when Premier League football is achieved.”

The news had been met with plenty of reaction from fans, whilst others had noticed that the additional work and expansion meant that there would be more potential jobs for people living around the stadium.

The board are aiming to get the application “heard at committee in the first quarter of 2020“, meaning that any potential work will not take too long to get going.

Any reinvestment whether that’s new players, training ground or stadium is great news for any fan, as it shows that the club is looking for a long-term project and are preparing for the future. Nottingham Forest fans are clearly excited about the prospect of an expansion, let’s hope they are also in the Premier League to enjoy it even more.
