The Algerian scored his 50th Premier League goal in City’s recent 4-1 win against Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday night. Mahrez scored City’s fourth goal of the game after coming on as a second-half substitute from the bench. Now that the winger has hit this landmark, there were some City fans who felt the need to congratulate the Mahrez on his achievement.

What do we think?
It’s nice to see City fans recognising Mahrez’s talents and efforts on the pitch. To score 50 goals in the Premier League is no mean feat, and considering that Mahrez has done it with two different title-winning sides with City and Leicester, that goes to show just what an exceptional player Mahrez has been in the Premier League.
If Mahrez, who is valued at £54 million (as per Transfermarkt), can become a regular starter for City, his goal tally will continue to rise in the Premier League.
