The 179th Manchester Derby is fast approaching and the City supporters are beginning to get excited about Saturday’s encounter at the Etihad Stadium. Both sides come into the game off the back of positive results.
Pep Guardiola’s side thrashed Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday evening and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United spoilt the returning Jose Mourinho’s evening at Old Trafford by ending his 100% record with Spurs so far.
City’s media team have put together a promotional clip ahead of the weekend’s Derby and it has got these supporters buzzing with anticipation.

What do we think?
The Cityzen’s have only tasted defeat once in the last five Manchester Derbies, evidencing the power-shift in recent seasons. Guardiola’s side have had problems of their own in the early months of this current campaign but they will be feeling quietly confident for a number of reasons.
The home advantage will play a huge part and, contrary to what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says in public, he will be concerned about the prospect of having to try and contain the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling in front of a fired-up City crowd.
The Blues will likely go into the 179th derby as strong-favourites but they will have to be somewhere close to their best as often we have seen in these types of fixtures the form book can go out of the window.
