Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their opinions on Zinedine Zidane’s recent comments on the Merseyside club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their official page relaying the Real Madrid manager’s words.
The post also contained an article from the Evening Standard on Zidane’s comments.
On the possibility of drawing Liverpool in the knockout stages of the Champions League, the Frenchman claimed his side will “eliminate” the current holders.

Liverpool lost the 2018 Champions League final to Zidane’s Madrid. The match was overshadowed by the early injury to Mohamed Salah when Madrid captain Sergio Ramos appeared to have injured the Egyptian’s shoulder.
Madrid went onto win the final by a score of 3-1. Now that Liverpool have secured their sixth Champions League title, Zidane is looking to make sure Jurgen Klopp’s side don’t make it a seventh this year.

What do we think?
Zidane’s comments prove that he sees Liverpool as a huge threat in the Champions League as they are one of the favourites to regain their title. If Liverpool do draw against Madrid in the knockout stages, it will be interesting to see if Zidane can keep to his word or not.
