Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Adam Lallana’s remaining time at the club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying information originally released by The Telegraph, that Jurgen Klopp wants the midfielder to sign a one-year contract extension to remain at the club next year.
Should Adam Lallana leave Liverpool at the end of this season?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who share many different opinions.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing the midfielder’s future:
He’s got to go, for both himself and the clubs sake.

No! Let him go! Better for everybody.

I do think we need fresh faces in our midfield

The post also claims that Klopp does not want Lallana to leave the club at the end of this season on a free transfer but understands Lallana’s wish to play for the club. The 31-year-old has only made nine appearances for the Merseyside club so far this season in the Premier League (per TransferMarkt).
Should’ve sold him in the summer then if that’s the case, can begrudge him if he doesn’t sign another contract

Get rid off.

No way

We’d be mad to let him go before the summer. Been excellent when used this year and gives the first XI a rest. Essential for cover and variety

Just like sturridge the last season.

Crazy to sell him in January
Why would we weaken our squad in the middle of the season???
Let him leave for free in May with a big thank you— Craig (@Craig70614642) December 31, 2019
What do we think?
If Lallana, who is valued at £10.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), wants to play regular football, he should leave Liverpool. If he is satisfied with being a rotational squad player, then he should sign a one-year contract extension and could do a job similar to the one against Wolves recently.
