Liverpool fans have been stating on Twitter that they would not like to see Emre Can make a return to his former club in January.

This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page asking their followers if they would take the former Reds midfielder back to the club.

Would you want to see Emre Can return to Liverpool in January?

Yes, bring him back

Yes, bring him back

No, don't need him

No, don't need him

The post suggested a potential loan swoop for the German in next months January transfer window to cover the central midfield position.

This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were adamant they did not want to see the club make a move for Can again.

Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans against a loan move for Can:

The 25-year old left Merseyside for Turin when he joined Juventus on a free transfer back in 2018 after spending four years at Anfield. Can, who is currently valued at £27 million, according to Transfermarkt, has only made seven appearances out of 16 Serie A games the Italian champions have played so far this season (per TransferMarkt).

Despite only being at rotational squad player in Italy, some Liverpool fans do not like the idea of Can making a return to their club.

What do we think?

It seems that most Liverpool fans have made their mind up on a potential January loan swoop for Can. Even to cover some of their injured players like Fabinho, they would not want to see the German make his Liverpool comeback.
