Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to reflect on Bobby Duncan’s exit from the club.
This comes after Liverpool journalist @LFCLaurie shared a post on their Twitter page asking their followers if they remember the way in which Duncan made the move from Anfield to Fiorentina in Italy.
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were keen to share their own thoughts on the former Liverpool youth player.
Was Bobby Duncan right to leave Liverpool?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reflecting on Duncan’s exit from the club:
He was such a fool to listen just to his agent, who was very clearly only interested in a quick buck and not the player’s long term benefit at all!

On top of that, the agent is currently suspended

I’ve never seen a more public example of a spoilt kid who thinks the world owes him something. Good riddance with an attitude like his

The 18-year-old, who is currently valued at £1.35 million according to TransferMarkt, left the Merseyside club in an effort to find regular first-team football. He signed for Italian club Fiorentina in September this year but has yet to make a first appearance for the side, having only played for their U19 squad (per TransferMarkt).
He was ill advised but…ultimately made his choice

Didn’t even know he left….. Nobody noticed

he’s gerrards cousin, he’s probably got talent – but he was too arrogant just because of who he is related to thinks he should start on the first team.

One fan even stated that he is just like Philippe Coutinho, which is true in a way as the Brazilian left Anfield to join Barcelona but things have gone downhill for him since then as he now finds himself plying his trade on loan at Bayern Munich.
Just like Coutinho, who’s still waiting to win UCL with a “big” club…

What do we think?
With Liverpool playing Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a team of young players, that would have been a perfect opportunity for Duncan to get some game time. But having made the decision to go to Italy, it comes as no surprise that some Liverpool fans have been making fun of the cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard.
