Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations with FIFA after preventing the team from celebrating with travelling fans in Qatar.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying information originally shared by Reds journalist Chris Bascombe (via Telegraph).
According to Bascombe, when Jurgen Klopp tried to celebrate the FIFA Club World Cup victory with the travelling Liverpool fans, FIFA representatives “stepped in and ushered him back” in the direction of the pitch.
Should Liverpool complain to FIFA after their actions in Qatar?
Yes
No
This post then gathered many replies from unhappy Liverpool fans.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to the post:
Shocking from fifa but no shock

I wonder if they have a reason for that. Not cool at all.

Liverpool beat Flamengo 1-0 thanks to a late Roberto Firmino goal in extra-time to name Jurgen Klopp’s side as world champions. After the match, as Klopp and his players attempted to celebrate the win with their fans in Qatar, but FIFA’s attempts at stopping the celebrations did not go down well with some Liverpool fans on Twitter.
FIFA has always been a big SCAM so no surprise here!

They (Fifa) surely were unhappy. Look at how big Flamengo crowd got the ticket cut and how well the ref and cos were performing and still couldn’t fix the match.

What do we think?
If FIFA really did stop Klopp and his players from trying to interact and celebrate with the travelling Liverpool fans who flew a long way to see their team play in Qatar, then that’s very wrong. Although, at the same time, perhaps FIFA were trying to avoid any kind of possible altercation, as fans appeared to be mixed in the stadium.
