A lot of Leeds United fans are buzzing to hear that Sheffield Wednesday could be deducted 21 points by the EFL as investigations continue into their stadium sale.
Would you be happy to see Sheffield Wednesday punished?
Yes
No
Phil Hay confirmed in a tweet that the Owls could be punished severely by the EFL, and this has gone down brilliantly with a lot of Whites fans.
Loads of detail here about the EFL charges facing Sheffield Wednesday. Discussed it on the podcast we recorded today (out tomorrow) –
some in Championship circles think they could be hit with a 21-point deduction: https://t.co/gfQH3IyCrU— Phil Hay (@PhilHay_) December 4, 2019

Other Leeds supporters, though, want to know why Derby’s stadium sale is not also coming under scrutiny from the EFL.
Can Derby be docked the same? Or has Mel Morris (who is on the @EFL panel) pulled a few strings

Absolutely delicious. Can only be better by Derby getting the same.

What do we think?
This whole situation is very messy for Sheffield Wednesday, and it is unclear what the outcome will be.
Still, if the EFL feel the Owls’ stadium sale was unlawful and not approved by them, then the Championship future of Sheffield Wednesday could be in serious doubt.
Garry Monk’s side currently sit in ninth on 29 points – so if they were punished with the rumoured 21 points deduction, the club would find itself bottom of the table nine points off safety.
The rest of the season would be a real struggle for Monk and his team, and that has delighted a lot of Whites supporters – who are still angry at the way Monk left the club.
