This weekend, Charlton Atheltic faced QPR in the Championship. The 2-2 draw could have been a loss if not for an outstanding save made by Charlton goalkeeper Dillion Phillips. The Charlton Athletic official Twitter account posted footage of the great save.
Fans reacted instantly, suggesting the save changed the game. Had the chance gone in, it could have been a very different result. The save was even more impressive because Phillips was originally going the wrong way.
Absolutely massive save. The game would have been gone. We went on to get the point but it almost felt like a win. Onwards and upwards. COYR

Great save! So poor from there striker though! All he had to do was pass and it’s a goal.

Fantastic reaction considering he started to go the other way

Do you think Charlton Athletic would have lost with Dillion Phillips
Yes
No
Some suggest that it was nothing new. He does this on a regular occurrence, despite having trouble with his distribution.
How big has Dills been for us all season! Yesterday again was unreal #charltonsnumberone

No matter the stick he gets for kicking. He’s one hell of a shot stopper

Another loved the explosion of emotion he showed after the save.
Him wanting to have a fight with both strikers after was even better

What do we think?
Phillips’ save was brilliant. Fans are clearly very trusting in the shot-stopper, as this save came as no surprise to them. With the club floating just above the relegation zone, Phillips could be a huge asset to Lee Bowyer as he attempts to keep the Addicks in the Championship (Sky Sports).
