Some Celtic are raving about the performance of Jeremie Frimpong in their recent 2-0 win against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.
The Hoops remained at the top of the Premiership last night, as Neil Lennon saw his side pick up a 2-0 win on Sunday (BBC).
Fierce rivals Rangers also picked up a 2-0 win over Motherwell, while Alfredo Morelos was sent off in the second half.
The Hoops win over Hibs saw Odsonne Edouard come back into the starting line-up and get back to scoring ways. But young Frimpong also scored a goal, keeping the side’s impressive league form going.
Celtic fans: Is Frimpong the best young right-back in Europe?
No question about it

Some Hoops fans are raving about Frimpong and have gone ecstatic on his latest Twitter post.

The Hoops currently have a two-point lead over the Gers in the Premiership table. They have already made it to the knockout stages of the Europa League, finishing at the top of the group for the first time in history and will meet Copenhagen in the next round (BBC).
Frimpong has come leaps and bounds in what has been his first campaign in any senior team. This season, the Dutchman has played 13 times in all competitions for the club. He has scored twice, racking up three assists as well. His first goal for the club had come in a 4-0 win over Aberdeen early in the season.
He arrived at the club from Manchester City this past summer, as had Lee O’Connor had arrived from Manchester United (BBC).
For City last season, Frimpong hadn’t made a single first-team appearance in any competition. He had played 31 times in all competitions, playing thrice and racking up three assists as well.
What do we think?
Frimpong is being seen as one of the best young defenders in Europe for how well he has done for the Hoops this season. He is more attacking than what others have and the future seems very bright. The only way forward for him is up.
