Some Celtic fans are going gaga over one sensational moment from the club’s dramatic win over Hamilton and that moment involves club captain Scott Brown.

The Hoops picked up a last-ditch win over the visitors on Wednesday, as it was Scott Brown who came up with a late winner to hand the club all three points in the Premiership game (BBC).

The club took full advantage of Rangers being held to a 2-2 draw against Aberdeen, meaning that they are now two points above Steven Gerrard’s men heading into the Old Firm Derby on Sunday.

And a video captured from the game saw Brown react in joyous fashion once he checked out the scoreline on the giant screen. This has left many Hoops fans ecstatic.

This was the Hoops’ first 2-1 win of the campaign and overall, it was their 13th win of the campaign. But more than that, it was Scott Brown’s second goal of the league and his fourth goal in all competitions this season. He has played a total of 30 games so far, also picking up a single assist.

Last season, Brown had played 51 times in all competitions for the Hoops. He had contributed to a total of four goals. Three of them were goals and he had a single assist to his name as well.

Since joining the club from Hibernian in the summer of 2007 for a fee of £4.4 million, Brown has become a club legend. He has played 546 times in all competitions for the club. He has scored 44 times, assisting 60 times too.

What do we think?

Brown has been an instrumental figure for the club since he joined. He has been showing that time and time again. At the age of 34, he is still a regular and has been a key part of Neil Lennon’s 4-2-3-1 shape this season. Playing alongside Callum McGregor, he has been pivotal in the Europa League too.

He has won 2.6 tackles per game in the Europa League, making 2 interceptions per game. He has also made 2.4 clearances per game.
