Some Celtic fans are fuming at the comments made by Ally McCoist following the Hoops’ triumph in the final of the Scottish League Cup.
Neil Lennon picked up his maiden League Cup crown on Sunday and it was the club’s 19th League Cup title in history. Celtic have won the competition in the previous four occasions, as Brendan Rodgers had won it every single time.
Former Rangers player McCoist had a lot to say about Christopher Jullien’s match-winning goal, and he believes that about ‘two, three or four’ Celtic players were offside in the build-up to the goal.
Celtic fans: Do you agree with McCoist?
He is right
He's very wrong
Some Celtic fans are fuming and some are also pleased to see a former Gers’ man rattled after their defeat.
Couldn’t give a toss if everybody, including big Fras, were offside.

The answer is 10 TEN IN A ROW

Not a single player was offside, Helander played everyone on. Away back to doing Iceland adverts McCoist.

The hurt here is amazing. To win the cup with an offside goal makes it even better.

None, Helander played them all on

Great innit ? I was going to argue with fans of the new Rangers that Helander plays them onside, but I now prefer to agree with them we were offside, its more fun….

The Hoops have now won both of the Old Firm derbies of this season. Apart from winning the one on Sunday, they managed to win the one in the Premiership one by a 2-0 scoreline. Goals from Jonny Hayes and Odsonne Edouard had given the Hoops all three points.
Celtic are at the top of the Premiership so far this season. Until the last gameweek, both sides were tied at the top on points but separated only on goal difference. But last midweek’s game saw Aberdeen hold Rangers to a 2-2 draw, while Celtic managed to grab a late goal to beat Hamilton 2-1. The lead at the top is now two points.
Celtic are currently at the top of their Europa League group, having beaten Lazio twice at home and away. It is the first time in the Hoops’ history that they are set to finish at the top of their Europa League group. Rangers are also at first in their group, which is much tighter. Steven Gerrard’s men could still finish third, as the final gameweek nears.
What do we think?
While images do show that Jullien was onside in the build-up to the goal, Rangers have themselves to blame for not even scoring once in the game. They could have scored more than once, as Morelos missed the penalty and despite having 16 attempts on goal, they failed to convert their chances.
