Some Celtic fans have no doubts about comparisons involving their right-back Jeremie Frimpong and James Tavernier and they know who is better out of the two.
This is Frimpong’s first season of senior-level football, while Tavernier has been at the club since 2015 and is into his fourth season at their fierce rivals.
Celtic fans: Is Frimpong better than Tavernier?
No question about it!
Too early to say!
A debate on Twitter broke out when comparisons were made between Frimpong and Tavernier. But some Hoops fans are very sure that their young right-back is much better than the former Newcastle United defender.

Frimpong is 19 and is considered one of Europe’s most promising right-backs because of his performances for the Hoops this season.
The Dutchman has played 14 times in all competitions for the Hoops this season, scoring twice and racking up three assists on the way too. Both of his goals have come in the Premiership and came against Aberdeen and against Hibernian two weeks ago.
He had joined the club this past summer from Manchester City, as young Lee O’Connor had from Manchester United (BBC). The former United man is yet to make a single first-team appearance for the Bhoys so far.
Frimpong hadn’t made a single first-team appearance in the City senior side. Last season, he played 31 times in all competitions for the club and also played at the left-back position. He also played 14 times in the Premier League 2, scoring twice and racking up one assist.
What do we think?
Frimpong brings a lot of attacking might to the Hoops side. He has that youthful exuberance about himself that allows the Hoops to attack well. In every game that he has started, Celtic are yet to lose a single game. They have scored as many 26 goals in just eight games when he has featured.
