Some Celtic fans are going crazy about club’s midfielder and legend Scott Brown following the club’s dramatic 2-1 win over Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.

The Hoops picked up just as ‘priceless’ a win when it was Brown who scored a thrilling stoppage-time winner to win Celtic the game and take them two points clear of fierce rivals Rangers (BBC).

Celtic fans: Has Scott Brown won the Hoops the league?

He sure has!

He sure has!

Long way to go!

Long way to go!

Ryan Christie had scored the game’s first goal in the 13th minute, but Hamilton managed to draw level in the 90th minute of the game. Rangers, though, were held to a 2-2 draw by Aberdeen away from home (BBC).

Some Hoops fans can’t stop hailing Brown as the winner could prove to be a huge moment in the season.

Over the years, Brown has become a legendary figure for Celtic. This season, the midfielder has played 30 times in all competitions for the club. During this time, he has racked up four goals and has one assist to his name too.

This is already more than how much he did last season. In the 2018-19 campaign, Brown played 51 times in all competitions. He bagged a tally of three goals and a single assist.

Since joining the club in the summer of 2007 from Hibernian, Brown has grown up the pecking order and he arrived for a fee of £4.4m. Clubs like Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton were said to have wanted him at that point but the Hoops beat them in the chase for Brown.

That has paid off. Since joining, Brown has played a total of 546 games in all competitions. He has scored 44 times since then, assisting 60 times.

What do we think?

Brown’s winner on Wednesday could be a huge moment in the season. It came just when everyone thought that Celtic would drop points on the same day as Rangers, taking away the hope of increasing their lead at the top.

But Brown’s winner doesn’t just give them a two-point lead. It comes at a huge point as the club faces their Old Firm rivals at the weekend in the League Cup final. It provides them with the much-needed impetus to put one over their enemies.
