After suffering a 2-0 defeat against QPR, Birmingham City fans will have been disappointed. This was a chance to keep their momentum going after beating Reading on the weekend. Before beating Reading, the club had gone on a five-game winless streak (WhoScored.com).
After the loss, Kristian Pedersen spoke to BluesTV about the game. He was very honest about the performance and demanding more from his teammates.
“This is not what we stand for. We looked flat and it’s not good enough. I want a reaction in the next game,” said Pedersen (Birmingham).
Fans loved the way the Dane spoke, calling him captain material. There are many supporters who want to see him wearing the armband.

For me, he’s ready for the armband. He’s consistently one of the better performers and has a strong relationship with players around him. A shoe in

Would you like to see Kristian Pedersen as Birmingham's captain?
Yes
No
One fan pointed out that Pedersen, who is valued at £4.05 million (as per Transfermarkt), shows immense passion for the club despite not even being from the country.
Not even from this country and he just oozes Birmingham city. You love to see it. My left back

What do we think?
Pedersen’s interview suggests he certainly has the persona to captain a team. For now, however, he can still do a job leading the group without the armband.
