Aston Villa fans have been calling for youngster Indiana Vassilev to be given a chance to play in the Villa first-team.
This comes after football fan Twitter account @fbwonderkids shared a post on their page highlighting the youngster’s recent run of form for the Villa U23’s squad, as well as a couple of other posts involving the attacker.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were excited by the forward’s good form.

Vassilev is an 18-year-old American forward that has been with the Midlands club since 2017 (per Transfermarkt). In his previous six matches for the Villa U23’s, Vassilev has started five, scoring four and picking up two assists along the way. This spell of good form for the teenager has caught the eye of some Villa fans who have been suggesting the youngster should be integrated into the Villa first-team.

What do we think?
Given Vassilev’s impressive run of form and current Villa striker Wesley’s poor run of form, it’s understandable why some Villa fans have been pleading for the teenager to be given a chance in the first tea.
If Smith does take a chance on Vassilev and does well on his chance, he could potentially replace Wesley as Villa’s first-choice striker for the future.
