Aston Villa fans have been calling for Axel Tuanzebe to make a return to Villa Park in the upcoming January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @BillyAVFC_ shared a post on their page telling the defender to get his “bags packed” because he is “coming home” in reference to a move back to Villa.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who would love to see the Englishman make a return to the club.
Would you like to see Axel Tuanzebe return to Villa?
Yes, get him back
No, keep him
Here’s a sample of Villa fans pleading for Tuanzebe to join the club in January:
Please let this happen

If only circumstances were different in the summer at Man Utd and Chelsea. We’d of probably got Tammy and Axel and kept the core of the team from last year which is part of the reason Sheff Utd are doing so well.
Would love to see him back.— bäckröw83 (@backrow83) December 23, 2019
He’s the best young defender in England

Tuanzebe, who is valued at £9 million (Transfermarkt), spent last season on a season-long loan deal at Villa as they won promotion back to the Premier League. The 22-year-old made a total of 31 appearances for the club last year but missed a large portion of the season with a metatarsal fracture ( TransferMarkt).
Would be the most important signing we could make. If he was the only one we make it would keep us up.

What do we think?
Aston Villa already have the likes of Tyrone Mings, Bjorn Engels, Ezri Konsa, James Chester and Kortney Hause at their disposal, so it seems extremely unlikely that Dean Smith would think of bringing him back.
However, it comes as no surprise that Villa supporters still have a lot of positive things to say about the defender as he helped the club get back into the Premier League. He had an average rating of 6.75 in the Championship and managed to average 1.1 tackles and 3.9 clearances per game.
