Aston Villa fans have been slamming Marvelous Nakamba for his poor performance against Norwich on Thursday.
This comes after Villa journalist Gregg Evans shared a post on his official Twitter page saying Nakamba had a “tough afternoon” in the 1-0 victory before being substituted for goal-scorer Conor Hourihane.
Should Marvelous Nakamba start against Watford?
No
Yes
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans sharing the same sentiments as Evans.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans slating Nakamba for his display against Norwich:

He’s fast becoming not a fans favourite

He’s been shocking for weeks. Shouldn’t have started.

Nakamba, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), was taken off by Dean Smith in the second half of the match to make way for Hourihane and he received a match rating of 6.51 (WhoScored). This decision by Smith turned out to be an inspired one with Hourihane scoring the only goal of the game to secure all three points.
After the match, some Villa fans tweeted their frustrations with Nakamba’s performance.
He’s to slow at the moment, offers nothing going forward and with Luis in there as well it shows more as they are similar. Shouldn’t both be playing unless we’re looking to grind out draws against top opposition, Norwich isn’t

Him and Luis need to start putting it about .. far too lightweight !

Why did he start

What do we think?
Despite picking up three points on Thursday, Villa still sit in the relegation zone. To keep out of the bottom three, Villa will need all their players firing on all cylinders, including Nakamba.
