Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to fume over Jota’s performance against Watford on Saturday.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page asking their followers what they thought of Jota’s display in the 3-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans eager to slate the Spaniard for his poor performance in the defeat.
Should Jota leave Villa in January?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans slating Jota for his display at the weekend:
Awful. He is massively off the pace at this level. He wasn’t even that good in the championship tbh. I raised my eyebrows when he signed for us and he’s done nothing to change my mind.

Way too slow to play as a winger !!

Awful, shouldn’t play again for us unless it’s in the cup. Shocking signing

The winger was substituted at half time by Villa manager Dean Smith after a poor first-half performance. Jota signed for Villa in the last summer transfer window from city rivals Birmingham City for a fee of £4.05 million (per TransferMarkt). Since then, Jota has failed to make an impact at Villa Park having made just eight Premier League appearances, with just one assist to his name at this moment in time.
Now with his latest display against Watford, some Villa fans have had enough of the winger. Despite only playing for 45 minutes of the match, this did not stop some Villa fans from letting their feelings known about Jota’s display.
Hopefully get rid as a player plus cash for Bowen or Benrama. Just no pace or physical for Prem cost next to nothing tho tbf

From what I’ve seen he’s not good enough or his confidence is shot.Hes has no physical presence he doesn’t tackle or track back He shouldn’t be any where near the first team at a he moment

Slow, off the pace, pass completion must have been at 20%, didn’t create anything, didn’t offer anything, didn’t look like he was a player fighting for a shirt

What do we think?
It’s sad to see Jota not making the most of his start against Watford in what turned out to be a forgettable game for him and a bad day for Villa, with a rating of 5/10 from Birmingham Live.
