Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to plead with the club to not sign Domagoj Vida in the upcoming January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter page @astonforza shared a post on their page relaying information from Turkish Football that Villa have enquired about the Croatian defender’s availability.
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans who did not like the idea of the Croatian at Villa Park.
Should Aston Villa sign Domagoj Vida in January?
Yes

Here’s a sample of Villa fans not wanting Vida to join the club in January:

The World Cup finalist is currently playing for Besiktas in Turkey after arriving there last summer on a free transfer from Dynamo Kyiv (per Transfermarkt). Despite only being in Turkey for a year-and-a-half, Vida has been linked with a move away to England with Villa. But this rumour has not gone down well with some Villa fans who think there are other ares of the pitch that should be focused on instead.
Erm…….striker? Anyone? Hello?

I really hope this is wrong. Centre back is fine. It’s a lack of depth at left back, right back and striker that’s been our source of problems.

What do we think?
The main issue with Villa at the moment is their lack of goals from main striker Wesley. But they also have an issue with conceding goals too, having shipped eight in their last three games. He could offer a lot of experience too with him now being 30-years-old, which could benefit them as the likes of Ezri Konsa and Kortney Hause are both on the young side, with Tyrone Mings and Bjorn Engels having very little top level experience under their belt too.
If Dean Smith does decide to take a chance on Vida, he could well fill in for the currently injured Tyrone Mings.
