Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to fume over Anwar El Ghazi’s performance against Sheffield United at the weekend.
This comes after Villa journalist Gregg Evans shared a post on his official Twitter page singling out the winger for his poor display in Villa’s 2-0 defeat at Bramall Lane.
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans who were eager to share the same opinions on the Dutchman.
Is Anwar El Ghazi good enough for Aston Villa?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans slamming El Ghazi for his performance at the weekend:
He’s either hot or cold and mostly cold

El Ghazi is having an awful game. No look passes, taking difficulty options, wasted crosses.
He had been improving, but this is a step backwards.

He’s been awful

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £9 million, according to TransferMarkt, played in the majority of the game before being substituted for fellow winger Trezeguet in the 80th minute of the match (BBC Sport). His time on the pitch did not impress that many Villa fans who were not shy in letting their feelings known.
He is the definition of inconsistent

He’s a passenger & has been the past fortnight…. offers bugger all!

What do we think?
With Villa in 17th place in the Premier League table, just above the relegation zone, they cannot afford for players like El Ghazi to be inconsistent. They now need all attacking players firing on all cylinders giving their all for the team or else they could be in real trouble in the second half of the season.
