Aston Villa fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest news surrounding Andre Green.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by Football Insider that the club are “ready to terminate Andre Green’s loan deal at Preston North End” ahead of the January transfer window.
This post then gathered some replies from Villa fans sharing their opinions on this latest update.
Should Villa keep or sell Andre Green in January
Keep him
Sell him
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting to the latest update on Green:
Not looking promising for him, my guess is he’ll go out again but to a league 1 side. Think we’ll see him gone in the summer

Biggest waste of half a season ever.

Not what we need let him develop & sign some real quality can’t keep relying on championship standard

The winger, who is valued at £1.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), has spent the first half of this season on a season-long loan deal at Championship side Preston North End. Green has only made six appearances for Alex Neil’s side so far this season (per TransferMarkt).
Now with this latest update suggesting Green’s loan deal at Preston will be prematurely terminated, some Villa fans think he should be loaned out to a different club in an effort to find more playing time.
hopefully we’ll send him out again so he can get game time

Should be loaned to any other Championsip team…

Time to bring him back to send him somewhere he will get game time. Thought it was a good place for him to go but turns out Alex Neil likes having a lot of Squad depth so he can rotate. Unfortunately, PNE have 3 left wingers & Green can’t dislodge the other 2.

What do we think?
It’s unfortunate that Green’s time at Preston has seemingly not gone the way either Preston or Villa had hoped it would have. Maybe the best thing now for Green is to hopefully find a club that will use him on a regular basis so he can get some much-needed playing minutes under his belt away from Villa, or Dean Smith could shock the world and give him a chance at Villa Park in the second half of the season.
