Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest news surrounding their club.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by Daily Mail journalist @MattHughesDM that the club are “in danger of becoming the first Premier League club to breach Financial Fair Play rules” allegedly.
This post then led to many replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their opinions on this big news.
Will Villa be punished for breaking FFP rules?
No, keep him
Yes
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting to the Twitter post:
We must have breached FFP about 50 times in the last year

Appears to happen coming in to every transfer window, cue the Grealish and McGinn having to be sold tales to start a transfer rumour frenzy, cutting edge journalism.

That’s false, Villa do not violate the break-even rule. Their income from promotion is almost the same amount that the club spent on transfers. Fake news before the tranfser period.

The recent summer transfer window saw Villa bring in a number of players such as Wesley, Douglas Luiz, Tyrone Mings, Tom Heaton and many more (per TransferMarkt). With this latest update on Villa being in danger of breaking the Financial Fair Play rules, some Villa fans are not convinced their club is in danger of any punishment.
It’s just another way for the papers to try and push through the sale of our best players.

First Premier League club to breach Financial Fair Play rules, you’ll never sing that

Haha, what a surprise, the Daily Fail grasping for clicks again. I wouldn’t believe them if they told me Christmas Day was next week.

What do we think?
Until there is an official statement made by either the club or the FFP governing body, then Villa fans should not worry about this speculation.
