Aston Villa fans have been suggesting Jonathan Kodjia starts in their upcoming clash with Leicester at the weekend.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page asking their followers who should play up front if first-choice striker Wesley is dropped from the team.
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans eager to share their opinions on the team’s current centre-forward situation.
Which striker should start against Leicester?
Wesley
Jonathan Kodjia
Here’s a sample of Villa fans that think Kodjia should be given a chance to play:

Trez or kodija sometimes a player needs to be dropped to get the hunger to fight harder

King Kodjia. Wes’ first touch is shocking, and he doesn’t go for the second ball.

The 30-year-old striker has only featured for Villa twice in the Premier League so far this season, both times seeing the forward come on as a late substitution (per Transfermarkt).
Despite his lack of playing minutes, some Villa fans think now would be a good time for Kodjia to get his first start in the Premier League this season.
Kodja. I think there are goals in him.

What do we think?
With Wesley on a poor run of goalscoring form recently, having only scored four goals in 15 Premier League appearances (per Transfermarkt), its understandable why some Villa fans have been weighing up other options in the striking position. But with Kodjia’s almost non-existent season for Villa so far, would he be able to hit the ground running and get some goals?
At the end of the day, it’s all down to Dean Smith.
