Some Southampton are delighted about the club’s latest update about a change in kits for their upcoming Premier League clash against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United.
The jersey is supposed to be an all-red one instead of being the red and white stripes one so that the Magpies and the Saints avoid a colour clash in the upcoming game. This decision came on the request of the Premier League authorities.
The game takes place on Sunday afternoon at the St.Mary’s and a potential win for the Saints could see them come just one point behind Newcastle in the Premier League table.
Is Ralph Hasenhuttl the man to keep Southampton in the Premier League?
Yes
No
Some Saints fans are delighted as they feel that the all-red jersey is much better than any other kit that they have.
that kit is literally better than any of our other ones this season and it’s a one off ._.

The Saints climbed out of the dreaded dropzone recently following a 2-1 win over fellow relegation strugglers Norwich City recently. Goals from Ryan Bertrand and Danny Ings helped them get a 2-0 lead before Teemu Pukki stole one back in the second half for the Canaries (BBC).
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men did take a 9-0 loss at the hands of Leicester City last month, but things have improved since then for the club. After that game, they have lost to Manchester City and Everton, but the performance against City was good enough to be happy about. But they have held Arsenal to a 2-2 draw, beating Norwich and Watford in recent games.
Hasenhuttl’s men have scored 17 goals this season- the fifth-lowest in the league so far. They have let in 33 goals- more than any other team in the division. The loss to Leicester has made it look worse.
What do we think?
The club has picked up eight points from away games this season- 10th best in the league. They have scored ten, but have let in ten goals only- the fourth-best in the league and as many as sixth-placed Manchester United.
Saints fans can only hope that the third jersey brings them some luck. And considering their form, there is every chance they do get some luck.
