Some Celtic fans are amazed at the latest tweet that defender Christopher Jullien sent out recently and they want him to correct his ways.

The French defender, who was one of the club’s summer signings, has done very well in his maiden season at the Celtic Park. His role was crucial in their recent League Cup final win, as Jullien came up with the goal that won the Hoops the title (BBC).

Fraser Forster had saved Alfredo Morelos’ penalty, while young Jeremie Frimpong was sent off in the second-half too.

Celtic fans: Is Jullien a fan favourite already?

He already is!

Jullien usually uses a ‘Hoopsupsideyahead’ hashtag on every single one of his tweets. But his recent one didn’t have that hashtag in it. This has left some fans amazed.

The central defender has established himself as a regular at the back alongside defensive partner Kristoffer Ajer this season. Both have been have made Celtic look like a very good defensive unit, having conceded only nine goals in the Premiership this season.

The Frenchman has played 25 times in all competitions this season, playing 13 games in the Premiership so far. He has already scored three times, racking up one assist. Apart from the Rangers game, Jullien has scored against AIK and Lazio in the Europa League.

He arrived at Parkhead from Toulouse this past summer for a fee of around £7m. He is the club’s second-most expensive signing in history.

For Toulouse last season, the towering defender had played 34 times in Ligue 1. He was a regular starter, also scoring once in the league.

What do we think?

Jullien has proved that he is worth all the money that Neil Lennon’s men decided to shell out on him. His tweets show that he has settled into the club and its culture very well. And the fact that the fans are loving him already is a reflection of how he’s a fan favourite already.
