Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham has revealed that the is completely focused on playing for the Hoops and he isn’t looking to leave anytime soon.

The 23-year-old, who was formerly at Manchester City, has been linked with moves away from the club in the last few months. Serie A giants Roma (TMW via FootballItalia) have been linked, while Portuguese giants Porto had failed in the move this past summer.

In a recent interview that Ntcham gave to the Evening Times, he talked about his commitment to Celtic and gave a huge boost to the club’s fans.

He said: “I am focused on Celtic 150 percent. I am focused on working hard every day in training and on the pitch. I am not spending my time looking around.

“There was talk about my future, but I am fully concentrated on the present. You never know what happens in football tomorrow, but I want to enjoy my time today.

“It’s a very exciting time at Celtic. There are a lot of games but if we win them it will be even more exciting. We are used to winning but we are still hungry in every single game.”

The former France Under-21 international joined the club from the Cityzens in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £4.5 million, when he penned a four-year deal at Parkhead.

Since joining, he has become a pivotal figure for the club. This season, he has played 21 times in all competitions. He has found the back of the net four times, racking up a tally of as many assists as well.

Last season, he had featured a total of 37 times in all competitions. While playing in midfield, he scored six times and had one assist to his name. Last season, he had also suffered a knee injury which had kept him out of action from January to March.

Interestingly, he has played a total of 106 games during his stint at the club, racking up a tally of 19 goals and 11 assists.

This season, Ntcham has become famous for scoring what will go down as one of the most prominent goals in the club’s history. He won the club their game at Lazio in the Europa League, winning the tie in stoppage time and rejoicing with a cartwheel celebration – which caused an uproar in places.
