Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have reacted to reported transfer talk surrounding the club’s star striker, Raul Jimenez.
In an interview with Marca, the Mexican forward explained that if a €100-million (£84.2m) offer was to arrive for him that it would be a good motivation for the 28-year-old forward (via Sport Witness).
However, with the Birmingham Mail reporting the quotes as though Wolves supporters should be worried about it (as per Birmingham Mail), some Wolves fans were concerned about a departure.
Very interesting interview with Raul Jimenez in the Spanish press.
Admits making a €100million transfer would ‘motivate’ him.

Would a €100-million transfer for Raul Jimenez be a good deal for the club?Yes, that's a massive amountNo, he is priceless to us |
However, other supporters reflected on the touted supposed offer of €100 million and suggested that it would be a great deal for the man who cost the Old Gold £30 million over the summer (as per BBC).
What a complete shocker. A 28 year old with probably one more big move left in his career would be motivated by a move that would net him £5 million minimum for his cut of the transfer fee. Can you believe the audacity of these professionals that want to maximise their earnings? pic.twitter.com/7jFxhqiKvK

Almost 29 then , in my eyes he’s a 100 million player but would a club invest that much for a player who’s value is only will only go down over the next 2-3yrs. It’s crazy to even think that we have a player of this kind of value at our club .

Meanwhile, some other supporters were frustrated that the initial quotes seem to have been twisted to suit a narrative that was not representative of what he actually said.

What do we think?
As many Wolves fans suggested, while Jimenez is essential, €100 million for a 28-year-old who cost £30 million in the summer would be a fantastic deal for the club.
But the story is just paper talk, there is no substance, just speculation. A definitive example of someone just saying something that then becomes some form of truth.
