Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have shown their relief following relayed news from Tim Spiers over links between Arsenal and Nuno Espirito Santo.
A couple of days prior to the Old Gold’s 2-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, the rumours linking the Portuguese gaffer to the Emirates stadium reared their ugly head again (as per Daily Mail).
However, following the defeat, the Athletic reporter for the Old Gold, Spiers, was on hand to pour cold water on the rumours with inside info (via Tim Spiers), which had Wolves fans delighted.
Arsenal/Nuno link doing the rounds again today.
I’m told Nuno has no interest in speaking to the Gunners.

Thanks Tim, now that is the best result of the day! Boys did good today, some amazing football played but the wrong result. We go again, with Nuno we will get better. @Fosun_Intl get Nuno’s new contract sorted ASAP, keep him @Wolves.

Not a hope.
They might want him but that’s irrelevant. I’d quite like Rachel Stevens to come round for tea tomorrow (I’ve got some lovely tapas in and a splendid bottle of Shiraz) but it ain’t happening.

Is Nuno Espirito Santo in the top five managers in the Premier League?Yes, he is a fantastic managerNo, not quite done enough yet |
The initial links had emerged in late November that the 45-year-old would be lined up to replace Unai Emery should the Spaniard get the sack by the Gunners (via Metro).
Following Emery’s sacking, the rumours did continue to emerge (via The Sun), however, the latest report pours definite cold water on any links between the two – which delighted the Molineux faithful.
Lets just get Nuno signed up on a new long term contract then I can be happy 🙂

Best news of the day. Let’s keep it that way. Plus – who would want to go manage that lot?!?!

What do we think?
The North London club are currently entrenched in a mire of their own making, while Wolves are flying and continuing to defy the odds.
Nuno is riding a massive wave of positivity at Molineux, he is adored and continues to move in the right direction, even if Arsenal do come knocking, it sounds as though the Portuguese manager is happy where he is.
