Spurs fans seem to have finally lost all patience with midfielder Christian Eriksen after he put in another dreadful display in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Danish international has seemingly turned his back on the club and looks set to leave on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires after he originally stated his desire to leave in the summer following the Champions League final defeat. Despite this, Mourinho has still made use of the 27-year-old and handed him his first start of his Spurs management in the game at Bayern, but was repaid with a poor display which earned the midfielder a 6.7 rating.

Eriksen first signed for Spurs from Ajax in 2013 and hit the ground running at the North London club, with 12 goals and 12 assists in his debut season. Fast forward six years and Eriksen now has 68 goals in 295 appearances for Spurs and would perhaps have gone down as a legend at the club had he not orchestrated his expected departure in this way.

Reaction from Spurs fans to a post from LastWordonSpurs asking if they would happily let Eriksen leave on a free in January can be seen in the tweets below.

These Spurs fans have clearly had enough of Eriksen and seem to be more than happy for him to leave on a free in January.

What do we think?

Eriksen looks to have lost all desire to play for Spurs and at times last night, it felt as if Mourinho’s side were playing with ten men. If they can get rid of the Danish midfielder in January then they should perhaps aim to do so, to ensure that they are not continuing to pay his wages without any sort of return.
